House still looks pretty much like this.   At right is a lithograph of the House, when occupied by R. L. Sharp. The family calls this picture "Babe and the Boys," because of the horse behind them at right center.

Robert L. Sharp (left) was quite a fellow.  Besides farming, he was a businessman and an adventurer.  His son, William H. Sharp, wrote "Life and Diary of Robert L. Sharp," which gives historic insight into the development of the Hocking Valley.
